"A good low impact only solution" 2009-07-09

If you've got a low impact, repetitive turning task that needs to be motorized then the new Black and Decker 6 volt drill/driver might be just the tool for the job.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and it's really helped to streamline my Avian Aqua Miser building process.

It takes 4 AA batteries and transforms the combined 6 volts of DC power into a surprising amount of torque. We found this one at a big box store for just over [...] bucks. Don't expect to do any heavy drilling or screwing.

"Wanting a little more for the $" 2009-06-03

Not a bad product, but for what I've seen in the store at around the same price range or for a little more, I wish this thing was a little more appealing in the "looks" category and not so loud!

 "toy screwdriver" 2008-10-21
By George Gonzalez (Miami, FL)
I bought this because I have the other B&D cordless screwdriver that takes AA batteries and really liked it. But it is in-line, so I couldn't get into tight spaces with it. I thought this would be of similar quality. I was wrong. It is more expensive but feels like and performs like a cheap plastic toy. Don't even think about using it as a drill or to torque screws down with any significant force. Spend a little more money and get a quality tool.

"Owned for over 5 years" 2008-07-14

I just broke my AD600 and am thankful they are still being sold! I bought this one at least 5 years ago when we were updating our kitchen cabinets, and for the price (bought at wally world) it lasted a good amount of time. Of course the drill doesn't go as fast as you'd be used to on other hand sets, but for me it worked great. I've used it at least once a week, mainly for screwing and drilling 1/8. I'm a girl, and I live in an apartment. If you are any bit fearful of powertools, start off with this one first. Its great for smaller projects. I only gave it four stars because of the power in it is probably not right for most people. For me, it was great, and I'm buying a new one so I can be there to help a friend update her new home. Great buy! And small/light weight

 "Easy to use" 2008-06-29

I got this for my husband but I actually use it more than him! I have used it for all the baby proofing around our house and it works great. I've used expensive drills but I like this one better. Its lightweight and easy to manuever.
